Front of House Usher
Location: The Royal Court Theatre, London
Contract: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: Usher – £41.83 per shift (3.5 hours)
The Royal Court Theatre has an exciting opportunity for someone to join the team as a Front of House Usher.
The Front of House team, made up of Duty House Managers, Ushers, Box Office & Stage Door staff, is the public face of the theatre, welcoming the audience and delivering excellent customer service, while ensuring that health & safety and licensing regulations are upheld.
The Usher has a key role in the Front of House Team and will work closely with the Box Office Manager, Front of House Manager, and General Manager, to provide excellent customer service for all Royal Court customers.
The successful candidate will:
- Customer-Centric and Approachable: Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors, and adept at handling inquiries and complaints with professionalism and care.
- Detail-Oriented and Organised: Possesses strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage various tasks efficiently, including cash handling, shift preparations, and maintaining cleanliness in front-of-house areas.
- Interest in Theatre Operations: Eager to learn about theatre operations such as health and safety regulations, access requirements, and concerns relevant to theatre venues
- Flexible Team Player: Works well both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and adaptable approach to duties.
