Support the Court
The Royal Court is the writers’ theatre. We have been ahead of public taste since 1956 and have helped to launch the careers of the world’s leading playwrights. We were the first UK theatre to programme some of the most influential and fearless writers, including Bertolt Brecht, Arthur Miller and Athol Fugard, and have commissioned hundreds of ground-breaking writers, including Sarah Kane, debbie tucker green, Mark Ravenhill and Lucy Kirkwood.
Why Support
As a charity, we rely on support to enable us to keep writers at the heart of everything we do. Our supporters give us the freedom to take bigger and bolder risks in our work. In turn, this enables our writers to write openly, experimentally and free from censorship.
With your support, writers at the Royal Court challenge the status quo and disrupt the theatre ecology. What you see on our stages, you won’t have seen before.
Join us today and support the future of new writing.
