THE BIG IDEA continues with a programme of talks, debates and events inspired by the work on stage.

The Royal Court Theatre announces three Big Ideas for Lela & Co., a new play by Royal Court debut playwright Cordelia Lynn.
Barrister Paramjit Ahluwalia and Rob Colvin from International Justice Mission join Amy Jasper from charity Stop the Traffik to take part in a panel discussion on the impact and consequences of the modern trade in human beings.
Playwright Cordelia Lynn will be in conversation with Royal Court Deputy Literary Manager Louise Stephens.
Poet and playwright Sabrina Mahfouz and singer Havva accompanied by The Milk Stouts will perform as part of an evening of spoken word and music focussing on women artists from first and second migrant and refugee communities in London.

1989 Productions is a theatre company specialising in plays about human rights. Founded in 2014 by Allegra Nespoli and Pippa Howie, their aim is to create a platform to tell stories for and about those who are not able to speak out. They collaborate with emerging artists and writers to tell stories that may otherwise never be told, and in doing so strive to stage work that questions its audience. This is their first venture as a company and they are delighted to be collaborating with the Royal Court.

The Royal Court Theatre announces three Big Ideas for Hangmen by Martin McDonagh.
Former Guardian crime correspondent Duncan Campbell will hold a talk on the fallibility of the British criminal justice system.
Director Matthew Dunster and members of the cast will be in conversation with Royal Court Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone.
Playwrights Amber Hsu, Anders Lustgarten, Nathaniel Martello-White and A Zell Williams will have short plays they have written performed in secret locations around the building.

Playwright and performer Rob Drummond will perform his play The Hole of My Heart which premiered in the Beehive pub as part of the Royal Court’s summer of events in Tottenham.
Playwright Nicola Wilson will be in conversation with Royal Court Associate Director, Lucy Morrison.
Consultant neurologist Professor Nick Fox holds a talk on familial Alzheimer’s disease.

When Rob was eight years old doctors found a hole in his heart and advised his parents he had only a few months to live.
Join him now in his thirty fourth year as he investigates his past medical health and examines the possibility of knowing his future with the help of human genome scientists in America who, for three thousand dollars, will tell him how he is likely to die.
